We are more than happy to work with out of network benefits or cash for services. Many people pay for care with their flex spending accounts, health savings accounts, and health reimbursement accounts provided by their employers.  Please call today and have our billing specialists verify your insurance plan to review options for your individualized situation.

Annual gyn exams are billed as preventive care, using a specific insurance code. This affects what services are covered — typically screenings, counseling, and health education. Preventative care includes screenings and assessments, but not the management of existing or new medical conditions.

Discussions of problem-oriented issues may not be fully covered by your insurance and are typically billed as a “problem” visit and subject to your plans copay/dedcutible.  Insurance and medical coding rules are not based on provider preference- they are guidelines that all medical coding/billing professionals must follow when processing your insurance claim.

If you have Medicare, you may be eligible for an “Annual Wellness Visit,” which is separate from a gynecologic exam and applies to all adults, regardless of gender and are typically done by a Primary Care Provider.

A women’s health clinic is a specialized healthcare center that focuses on providing comprehensive services to support health and well-being. These practices offer a wide range of medical, preventive, and holistic services tailored to your unique needs and life stages. From gynecological care and family planning to mental health support and nutrition counseling, this type of clinic aims to promote and enhance all aspects of health. These clinics also emphasize health education and empowerment, encouraging you to make informed decisions about your body and overall wellness.

The main difference between our clinic and a traditional medical practice lies in the specialized focus and approach to healthcare. While conventional medical practices typically provide a wide range of medical services for patients of all genders and ages, a women’s health clinic concentrates exclusively on women’s health needs.  We offer specialized services such as gynecological care, family planning, postnatal care, menopause management, and reproductive health screenings that cater specifically to your unique health concerns. We have an emphasis on holistic and preventive care, taking into account not only the physical aspects of health but also emotional, mental, and social well-being. This specialized approach ensures that you receive comprehensive and tailored healthcare, creating a supportive and nurturing environment that addresses your distinct health needs at every stage of life.

At McKenzie River Gynecology, we are committed to providing a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the diverse health needs of our clients. Our services include gynecological care, family planning,  postnatal care, menopause management, reproductive health screenings, mental health support and nutrition support.  Additionally, our clinic provides preventive health services such as vaccinations and screenings for breast and cervical cancer. With a focus on health education and empowerment, we strive to create a nurturing environment where you can prioritize your health and thrive at every stage of life.

Yes!  Telemedicine lets you connect to your provider remotely over video, and is a great alternative for visits that do not require a physical exam.  Examples include follow up visits, reviewing lab and radiology results, medication questions and refills, and contraception counseling.

Our office can provide pregnancy confirmation visits and help you find the right prenatal care provider to meet your needs.  At this time we are not providing full scope prenatal care/delivery services. We do provide postpartum care and care after pregnancy loss.

McKenzie River Gynecology welcomes clients who have health-related needs specific to women’s health. People of all ages, from adolescents to seniors, can be clients at our practice. Whether seeking routine gynecological care, family planning services, postnatal care, menopause management, or general health screenings, any person looking for specialized and comprehensive healthcare can benefit from the services provided by our practice.  The practices’s inclusive and supportive environment is designed to address the diverse health concerns and life stages, ensuring that each client receives personalized care and support for their overall well-being.

There are times when additional collaboration and resources are needed during your health care journey.  We value our highly skilled medical professionals, specialists, and resources in our area to work closely together when additional care needs are present.

There may be situations where your medical needs are outside the scope of what Certified Nurse-Midwives can provide.  In this scenario we will refer you to a specialist in the area based on your situation.  If your needs are specific to a gynecologist, we share office space with Grassroots Gynecology which makes the referral process very simple.  Working closely with all healthcare specialties ensures you get the best care possible.
